Protected Trust Deed

Mrs F. owed £31,500 and was paying over £570 per month which she could not afford. She was getting deeper into debt, and becoming more stressed. She had a large family, and her marriage had recently broken down. After careful appraisal and review, she signed a Trust Deed, agreeing to pay £250 per month to her Creditors for 3 years.

At the end of this period the balance of her debts will effectively be written off, and she will be released from the Trust Deed.

Remortgage

Mr and Mrs E. had debts of over £50,000 on which they were paying out over £850 per month. In addition they had monthly mortgage payments of £777. However they had equity in their house and after a review were advised to re-mortgage and clear their unsecured debts.

The result was a new monthly mortgage payment of £968. This meant that they were paying out at least £650 less than before, per month.

Debt Management Plans

Mr L. had debts of over £12,500 and was paying £500 a month which he couldn’t afford. He was getting deeper into debt and had no one to turn to or help him. After meeting a Debt Management Plan was arranged. They helped him to contact all of his Creditors and draw up a budget.

He is now paying £236 a month to his creditors. It will now take him a little longer to pay off his debts but his finances are more manageable, allowing him to better plan and budget for his family.

The Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS)

Mr T. had debts of more than £19,000 and was paying £340 per month, which he was struggling to afford. He owned his own home and was concerned about what might happen to it. He was put forward for the Debt Arrangement Scheme and this was approved by his Creditors. He now pays £190 each month to his Creditors and his house is safe.

He will repay his debts over a longer period of time. However, should his circumstances change he can vary the terms of the repayment plan.
